Schedule Announced for Salisbury Lion’s Club Holiday
Basketball Classic
Salisbury, MD - The annual Holiday Classic Basketball
Tournament sponsored by the Salisbury Lion’s Club is quickly
approaching. Players from 24 teams will take the court
December 26-29 at the Wicomico Civic Center. Each squad will
be competing for their bracket’s championship title. In a
press conference held at the Wicomico Civic Center today the
official schedule was released.
At this year’s Holiday Classic, basketball fans can witness
intense competition and take part in contests, live
entertainment and giveaways. Admission is just $7 and
children under six are admitted free. Tickets, only sold at
the gate, are good for one full day of the tournament, with
the first tip off at noon. The schedule is as follows:

An Eastern Shore Tradition Returns to Wicomico’s Civic
Center
18th Annual Holiday Basketball Classic Approaches
Salisbury, MD - The annual Holiday Classic Basketball
Tournament sponsored by the Salisbury Lion’s Club is quickly
approaching. Players from 24 teams will take the court
December 26-29 at the Wicomico Civic Center. Each squad will
be competing for their bracket’s championship title.
An Eastern shore tradition, the Holiday Classic began as a
showcase opportunity matching up the best teams from the
Bayside Conference (Maryland) and the Henlopen Conference
(Delaware). Now, the tournament has grown to showcase some
of the best teams from the Delmarva Peninsula alongside and
against the best from the region.
The following teams will represent Delmarva throughout this
holiday tradition: Snow Hill, Wicomico, Parkside, James M.
Bennett, Mardela, Pocomoke, North Caroline, Cambridge South
Dorchester, Sussex Tech, Smyrna, Dover and Delmar.
Regional participants will be arriving from Northern
Delaware and Maryland’s Western shore as well as
Pennsylvania, New York, and Virginia. These teams include:
Tower Hill (Wilmington, DE), Douglass (Baltimore, MD),
Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD), Parkville (Parkville, MD),
Eastern Tech (Baltimore, MD), Walbrook (Baltimore, MD),
Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD), Archbishop Carroll (Radnor,
PA), Forest Park (Woodbridge, VA), Caesar Chavez Charter
School (Washington, DC), Thurgood Marshall Academy (New
York, NY), and Oxon Hill (Columbia, MD).
At this year’s Holiday Classic, basketball fans can witness
